Bonza Word Puzzle Review | 148Applications

Bonza puzzle claims to be a crossword puzzle with a difference, and it stays true to its word. It effectively flips crossword puzzles, giving players answers first and a common category second.

Players must then compose a complete crossword from separate parts, where they must place the shards near their companions by dragging them together. They will then snap into place and become one. If a piece is in the wrong place, the game will let players know by leaving a small space between the tiles. For additional perspective or just to create extra space, gamers can also zoom out by quickly pinching the screen.

It’s an infectious and fun puzzle mechanic, while also posing a challenge as players progress. If they get stuck, they can either use the clue at the top of the screen as a guide or spend Star Coins on an expensive telltale clue to help matters. Sometimes a hint may even be needed to get things going, as on several occasions I literally didn’t know where to start, especially since the hint was pretty cryptic in nature. Greater coin reward, cheaper clues, or multiple types of (cheaper) clue options would all prevent the dreaded shutdown that no one wants in a puzzle game.

With 3 free puzzle packs and a free daily puzzle to face, there’s more than enough for players to get carried away with before they have to part with their cash for more content. While some may get bored of the linear, repetitive gameplay, I’ve never found it too repetitive, mainly thanks to the neat presentation and ambient sounds that carry the gameplay enough that pockets of time can be wasted on it.

Bonza puzzle is inventive, unique, and very rewarding, although he can be slightly ruthless in his systems of clues and mysterious clues. For anyone who likes a good word puzzle, definitely give Bonza A try.
